How you can help with our produce needs

Help us feed our fruit bats

Help Feed Our Bats!

Our fruit bats will eat around 3 pounds of produce each day, which makes for a heavy grocery bill!  If you’re an individual and want to help, we’ve created a program by which you can donate to our produce budget.

Items Our Bats Eat

Fruit

Apples | Cantaloupe | Honeydew | Banana | Watermelon | Grapes (preferably red) | Strawberries | Raspberries | Blackberries | Blueberries | Pears | Mangoes | Papaya | Kiwi | Pineapple | Plums | Peaches | Oranges

Vegetables

Bell pepper | Broccoli | Sweet potato | Celery | Corn on the cob | Carrots | Brussel sprouts | Squash (any) | Cucumber
Radish | Tomato | Turnip | Kale | Collards | Romaine | Spinach | Endive

How Does this Program Benefit You?

By donating to our produce program, you can obtain a receipt for your charitable donation.  We’ll also be announcing all our donors on our weekly program every Friday evening where we feed our bats live.  If you’re a company who can donate larger amounts of produce, please check out our company donation page here.

How You Can Donate

We’ve put together several options for you so you can see what your dollars will actually do for these bats.  Check out the options below and thank you for helping!  Be sure to catch the livestream where we’ll give you a shout-out while we’re feeding the fruit bats every Friday night.

What We Do

Bat Rehabilitation

Providing professional care to native bat species by integrating veterinary medicine, rehabilitation, conservation and research.

Programs and Lectures

We are committed to improving the well-being of bats and their habitat through education. Dispelling common misconceptions is essential to the conservation and protection of bats.

Conservation Initiatives

While we don't provide bat removal services ourselves, we partner with several individuals and companies who provide humane bat removals and exclusions. If you find a bat, go here first.
